Seven Signs Your Vehicle Needs Attention Before It Becomes a Major Repair

Most vehicle problems don't happen overnight. They start small: a faint noise, a slight vibration, a light that flickers on and off, and get louder and more expensive the longer they're ignored. 1. Dashboard Warning Lights

It's tempting to brush off a warning light, especially if the car still seems to drive fine. But lights like check engine, ABS, or battery indicators are your vehicle's way of flagging a problem before it becomes visible in how it drives. A quick diagnostic scan can tell you whether it's minor or urgent; either way, it's worth knowing.

2. Unusual Noises

Squealing when you brake, grinding when you turn, knocking under the hood, or a rattle that only shows up over bumps, these are almost nothing. Noises are among the earliest and clearest signals that something is wearing out or is loose.

3. Vibration or Shaking

A steering wheel that shakes at highway speed, a car that shudders when braking, or a seat that vibrates at idle can point to anything from unbalanced tires to worn brake rotors to engine issues. Vibration usually worsens over time and mileage, so it's worth diagnosing early.

• Red – transmission fluid

Any leak other than AC condensation should be checked before it leads to bigger damage.
